We recently added Angela Vallecilla to the team. We sat down with Angela to get to know her better.
Angela, welcome to the TyRex Technology Family.
So Angela, tell us a little bit about yourself. Where do you come from and where have you worked previously?
I got my BS in environmental engineering from the Universidad Veracruzana (UV) and my associate degree is from the Universidad Del Valle Mexico. My work experience prior to TyRex was mainly driving projects and sales in the petrochemical industry. I did my internship in a petrochemical company called Idesa Petroquimica as an environmental assistant, then I worked as a project analyst, project coordinator and commercial director.
What drew you to TyRex? What particularly excites you to come work here?
The first thing about TyRex that caught my attention is how involved they are with the community! What keeps me excited is coming to work knowing that we are building the pathway into the future of manufacturing.
Do you have any specialties or specific areas of focus?
I would say my specialty is business development. A lot of my education and experience up to this point centered around development and financial education.
What areas are you looking forward to expanding at TyRex?
Having so many companies under TyRex that specialize in different things is a major strength and source of opportunity for us. I’m looking forward to expanding the ways we can show our clients how all these companies fit together.
What are some things you wish the average person knew about your line of work?
That we are paving the way into the future of manufacturing. It is all about adopting a new mindset because the future is here now.
So, this last question has become a bit of a tradition for us. What is the one tool you can’t live without?
I can’t live without my cellphone. I’ve worked with international firms for a while so it wasn’t uncommon to get an email or call from the other side of the world at 10:30 or 11:00 at night. Being able to answer those questions immediately and solve problems as they come up is essential for me.
