Since 1956 a version of The Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair has provided the inspiration, the guidance, and the support to build the robust STEM community we all enjoy in the Austin area.

This fair is one of Texas’ largest, with almost 3,000 students from 3rd through 12th grade. It encourages and rewards innovative student research and provides scientists, engineers and other professionals a chance to volunteer in the community.

Austin Gives is a community program to recognize and encourage business philanthropy in metropolitan Austin. TyRex is a member of Austin Gives, and fully supports the idea that by supporting the community we all live in, we make our businesses stronger.

BookSpring is the only Central Texas organization focusing on building literacy skills and the motivation to read through increasing home libraries and reading aloud activities for children. They have created a continuum of early literacy interventions through a theory of change that supports brain development, family interaction, skill-building, and the motivation to read in children from birth through age 12.

RecognizeGood is a local nonprofit that provides a means for individuals, businesses and other nonprofits to illuminate selfless volunteers, charitable acts and community service throughout the greater Austin area. ROCK is a nonprofit organization that provides equine-assisted activities and therapies to children, adults, and veterans with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. ROCK’s clients range from 2 – 88-years-old and see improvements in most aspects of their lives; from muscle tone, strength, flexibility, and balance as well as cognitive, behavioral, and emotional improvements.
