TyRex February 2022 Flashback

February went by fast, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t fit a lot of great content into this short month. From ARL’s commitment to quality testing with accurate results to DLi’s feature on the premiere photonics technology event, February’s recap is not one to miss.

The team at Austin Reliability Labs (ARL) is proud to be accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard that specifies general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories by The American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). By checking labs against a collection of international standards, A2LA can ensure that a lab’s results are dependable, accurate, and consistent when it comes to performing certain standardized tasks such as reliability testing. This article describes what an A2LA Accreditation is, the process in becoming accredited, and how ARL stands out with their accreditation.

“Our accreditation from A2LA not only provides an immediate source of confidence for our wide range of customers, but the process of assessment gives our team a sense of pride in accomplishing conformity while also pushing our lab toward continuous improvement.”

The Prism Awards are presented every year at SPIE Photonics West. This annual competition, created by SPIE and their media partner Photonics Media, celebrates both companies and individuals who have contributed to the optics and photonics industry through innovative products that make a difference. The 2022 competition was a tough race, but DLi wanted to shed some light on both the finalists and winners who have designed products that improve life through photonics!

SabeRex excels at providing a comprehensive suite of services that allow manufacturers to focus on improving their products and core competencies. Their pick, pack, and ship services have seen a dramatic increase in use due to the rise in ecommerce. Despite its simple name, there is a lot that goes into the planning and execution of these services and it’s worth manufacturers’ time investigating whether they benefit from outsourcing this important function.
