Summer Interns Making A Lasting Impression

As a company devoted to community citizenship, at TyRex we welcome our responsibility to help develop and train our future leaders. This summer proved to be a perfect opportunity to impart 21 years of business knowledge into three bright interns. Charles Martin (mechanical engineering major at the University of Houston), Justin Williams (economics major at the University of Texas) and Miguel Ramirez (computer programming major at Austin Community College) all proved to be immensely helpful during their time with the TyRex family, bringing energy and fresh ideas that helped make a real impact on our business. Provided with their extra hands and eagerness to learn, we have been able to explore areas of research and development that may have struggled to find resources without this summer program. Focusing on areas like 3D printing, virtual currency and software development that represent the future of our companies, their hard work proved that time spent with TyRex has been mutually beneficial.  While these three young men were able to learn what real-world business looks like and get a leg up on their careers, we can truly say the time they spent with us was entirely our pleasure!
“This internship has given me experience in my degree field, allowing me to see how the business world operates.”

 – Charles Martin

“As corny as this may sound, the people that I’ve worked with have been my favorite part. Everyone has been extremely welcoming and helpful; I never once dreaded coming into work.”

 – Justin Williams

“I feel like I’ve been a part of a real company, responsible for tasks that will be used and experienced by hundreds of individuals.”

 – Miguel Ramirez
