TyRex Celebrates American Patriot’s Day with Manufacturing Innovation
Trevor Hendricks2026-04-23T16:48:36+00:00On April 19th 1775, Paul Revere embarked on his historic ride through Boston, igniting the American Revolutionary War. Without Paul and fellow 18th-century American patriots, the United States of America would not be in its 250th year of Independence. Similarly, if not for the American patriots of the past two centuries and of the present, America would not be the free and prosperous nation it is today. It’s in that spirit that Patriots’ Day is celebrated annually on the third Monday of April throughout the U.S. Northeast and, for the first time, in Central Texas at TyRex.
A New Era of U.S. Manufacturing Begins
As more U.S. companies reshore their production and look for domestic partnerships, U.S.-based manufacturers are gearing up for more business and more opportunities to leverage innovative technology to manufacture products. This fusion of excitement and patriotism took shape on Monday, April 20th, 2026, during TyRex’s American Patriot’s Day event.
Never done before in its 31 years of business, TyRex opened its doors to the public for an all-day event featuring a museum-quality self-guided tour and a slate of presentations discussing the future of manufacturing and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and new product development applications.
Celebrating TyRex's American Patriot's Day
In honor of the day’s festivities, Austin Reliability Labs (ARL) and Digital Light Innovations (DLi) General Manager Jason Dunbar brought a generationally accurate and fully functional Revolutionary-era cannon and set it up for display in TyRex’s main parking lot. On guard and ready to welcome event attendees stood Andy Chewning in Revolutionary-era uniform; this was only tour stop #1!
From there, guests were greeted by the front lobby team, given a welcome bag full of tour details, instructions and patriotic swag, and then directed to the first video presentation to get the celebration started. In total, the self-guided tour included 25 stops, each with an informative video presentation, and many with immersive components like TyRex’s “DinoVision” Movie Set and giveaways such as 3D printed collectables and prizes winnable through TyRex’s Wheel of Technology Fortune, some of which were valued at $2,500!
Featured presenters included TyRex Founder, Principal, and Partner John Bosch Jr., RecognizeGood Executive Director Joel Coffman, SaberData President Satwinder Kahlon, and others. Presentations focused on the development of emerging technologies, production possibilities achievable with 3D printing, training the next generation of manufacturers and TyRex’s ongoing programs that combine the three to deliver capabilities never before seen in the manufacturing industry.

The Manufacturing Revolution Has Begun
“The event was a success! It encapsulated what TyRex is about and showed people where we’re going. I think the attendees got a good sense of what partnering with TyRex might look like and how it’d be beneficial to their business.” John Bosch Jr. recounted the event. “Everything guests see when they step inside the facility tells them about us and our story; from our lively production technicians to the dinosaur fossils, our busy 3D printing machines, interactive video displays, the RecognizeGood mural honoring local volunteers and more – it’s what makes TyRex Special by Design.“
The technologies of the future are quickly becoming today’s production tools, rupturing the status quo and leaving companies with a choice: evolve or become extinct. TyRex made its choice over 30 years ago and is ready to undergo another technological evolution as AI restructures the way many companies operate.
For those who might be lost or are looking to start a company of their own in this new age of business, TyRex has developed a new partnership program that can transform ideas into reality faster than ever before and introduce you to AI product design, additive manufacturing, entrepreneurship training and broader manufacturing services through its subsidiary companies within the TyRex Technology Family umbrella.
